Will was our first Junior Planner, joining us with a degree in Construction Management from UWE and onsite experience as a green roof construction technician in Toronto. Four years later, Will is an extremely competent project planner handling projects upto £15m and producing realistic programmes, logistics plans and methodologies.
Never happier than when he is working as part of a client team, Will is personable, motivated and organised. Equally successful at supporting clients in winning tenders or delivering live projects, Will is confident with both JCT and NEC contracts and is also experienced in MOJ programmes. He is the lead planner on a 2 year NEC3 industrial and civil project at Rolls-Royce Bristol, valued at £9m.

Will was brought in as Milestone’s first Planner. Subsequently, his involvement has helped the company grow into one of the UK’s largest specialist planning consultancy. In his work as a construction planner, he has been successful in helping clients winning tenders up to £10m in a range of sectors including residential, commercial, Fit-out, industrial & civils, MOJ & MOD.
A key highlight in Will’s Milestone career is his involvement as the lead planner on a 2 year NEC3 industrial & civils project at Rolls-Royce Bristol, valued at £9m. A project which has required Will to integrate himself in the delivery team and work collaboratively with the client and key stakeholders. He has developed and monitored the NEC programme from tender stage, right through delivery. The project involves planning works with complex phasing in a sensitive live working environment, complex civils, M&E and specialist OEM equipment installs.
Prior to Milestone, Will continued his drive to work sustainability within construction, gaining valuable career experience as a Green Roof Construction Technician in Toronto, Canada; Installing living roof systems on large scale new builds and retrofits, which included working to deliver the 2015 Pan American Games Athletes Village green roof system, among numerous other projects.
Will qualified with a Construction Management degree in 2012 from The University of the West of England. During his degree, Will focused his studies to align with his interested in the relationship between sustainability and construction. He directed his career toward sustainable work within the public energy sector. Whilst at The Bristol Energy Service, Will was primarily involved in SmartSpaces; an EU funded venture to reduce energy usage in public buildings, a €7m project formed of 26 international partners. A particular highlight was seeing the results through improvements in reducing carbon emissions in the city in which he lives.
